I suggest that you put your work on a black background and to shoot it head-on instead of from the side. If you aren't using photoshop to adjust the light and contrast of your shots you might give it a try.
No problem...hope it helps. My daughter is a wire artist and her work can be very difficult to shoot...the black background and photoshop are her best friends.
For better photographing effects, I would put the peice of jewlery in a place where there's light coming from a lot of angles, not just one. This will minimise shadows so less detail will be flooded out. Very awesome necklace. I love the jewlery you've posted
